I know that I haven't posted in a long time. There is good reason, nobody reads my blog. It is a very sad truth, but I am over it. So, I am condoling myself by writing the blog post. Ah, I feel better now.

Hey guys, it has been a long time since I have posted here, I do apologize. This blog won't be swept under the rug, I will hopefully revive it soon.

Now, The Inside Story! You might have seen me linking to the new website, "Awesome Love.net" on twitter or facebook. Am I going crazy? No, don't worry, it won't last forever. Just doing a little self advertising.

The Awesome Love project started with, well...God. He has been doing an Awesome work in my life. I praise the Lord for it, He is worthy! God has been revealing His love for me in such a wonderful way. I cannot take any credit for this site. He is to be praised. But, I can thank all of my brothers and sisters in Christ that have worked on this site and encouraged me.

Let me beg all of you check out the recommended sermons at the end of the site's presentation. They are 100% worth your time.

Please pray that God's spirit would be mightily working through the Word on the site. That He would bless it and His powerful hand would be upon it. Pray that Jesus Christ would be glorified and Him alone. And that He would direct all that goes on in the background. Your prayer is sooo needed. I beg that you will pray at least once!

I'm an Uncle! Lil "Conviction Bendixen" is on it's way!

EVERYBODY! I'm an Uncle! I'm an Uncle! I'm an Uncle! I'm an Uncle!

Well...I will be one soon. The baby's due date is December 24! Christmas Eve!

Amanda (My sister) and Barak Bendixen came over to our house on Friday and announced the good news. It's so cool because we are having Christmas at Barak and Amanda's house this year! We'll be in on all the action. LOL. (Not really "ALL")

(By the way, I was just posing for a funny picture with a volleyball in my stomach. LOL. We were on-cloud-nine Friday)

(By the way, the baby's name won't be "Conviction Bendixen." That was just a joke. Ele and I wanted to think of a name that rymed with "Bendixen," and then we tease Amamda and Barak about it the whole time.) They wouldn't tell us what they were thinking about calling the baby.

More news: I was the third person to talk to my little nephew or niece! Amanda and Barak came in first and second. But I said "hi" and introduced myself to him or her.

Pray that the baby and Amanda stays safe, the pregnacy goes great, and that I won't have to share the baby with too much people. LOL. (Just kidding)

Here is a movie taken right after the told us the good news. Crazy! Ele and JJ should have more coverage of this event soon.

National Volunteer Day

I am determined not to have much politics on this blog. (So, don't worry!) Because I get very tired of all the fakeness and ungodliness that comes with it.

Talk For Your Life!

Hello everybody!

Every time I write something on this blog it seems to get a couple of comments even if I really don't say anything worthwhile. LOL. Don't stop! I love it! =)

I have been recently working on a part of my website that I can use specifically for witnessing. My good friend Levi, actually was the one that inspired me to do it.

I'm using the site to share my personal testimony and the gospel. I will be giving out business cards with the web address to people that I meet when I'm out witnessing. (It's not my idea, I stole it. With permission =)) I hope that it can be a helpful tool to stay in contact with all of the people I meet. Sometimes, one little talk on the street won't convince people of the gospel. So, the site will be a place to share the gospel again, and a place where we can continue the conversation.

Whatever Your Cross

I found this post on Rachel M.'s blog "HopeJourney" and wanted to share it with you. Thanks Rachel!

Awesome!! We complain about the cross we bear but don't realize it is preparing us for the dip in the road that God can see and we cannot. God never uses someone that He has not broken. Why are we asking God to take away the fire, when the fire is what will purify us into what God needs.

Whatever your cross,

Skiing for Truth

The lip of truth shall be established for ever: but a lying tongue is but for a moment. - Proverbs 12:19

In my devotion this morning, I ran across that verse. It stuck out to me like a orange, red and pink skier on the slopes.

My first thought from this verse was that our words are like unto a huge red wood tree. Each time you tell the truth, it adds to this mountain of a tree that will last until eternity. But each time we lie, or just kid around, a little worthless branch sprouts out from the tree and then quickly dwindles away. Foolish kidding around and lying amounts to nothing good, but the truth from our mouths shall be established forever!

That really stuck out to me because I have to admit that I have a problem with spewing out worthless lies (Joking) that would be better kept from my mouth. Although there is nothing wrong with having a good time, we still must be careful to guard our mouths.

There are many applications you could use this verse for, and many analogies you could draw. For example, telling truth builds the foundation of a building.

Let me hear some ideas from you.

The lip of truth shall be established for ever: but a lying tongue is but for a moment.

Deceit is in the heart of them that imagine evil: but to the counsellors of peace is joy.
There shall no evil happen to the just: but the wicked shall be filled with mischief.

Because you don't hear a lot about Paul Washer in many Christian circles, you would think that he believes something crazy. But I haven't heard anything come out of his mouth that would be contrary to the Scripture. So, for now, I really love hearing the teaching from this man. As Paul the apostle said, follow me as I follow Christ.

Bible Memorization in 2009

I'm an Alumnus of a program called Journey to the Heart. I would describe The Journey as a refreshing, life changing, spiritual bath. A place where you can put aside all the distractions of the world and really meet with God. It's like a vacation with Jesus. (Highly, HIGHLY Recommended)

Living the Journey is challenging people to start off 2009 memorizing Scripture. I have decided to join them in memorizing 2 Timothy 2:1-26. (The whole chapter)

Yesterday I memorized verse one: “Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.”
In this verse Paul starts out saying: You therefore. The word therefore means Paul is referring to something that he mentioned previously. So, I went back and read some of chapter one and found that Paul had been talking about persecution and suffering. So, this was Paul telling very young Timothy, to be strong in God's grace even in the bad times.

“Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;” - 2 Tim 1:8

Today, I am memorizing the verse two: “And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.”

Live by Faith but not by Ignorance

It is very easy for me to live in ignorance of my belief in God. We've been taught something our whole life, and yet we have no clue why it's truth. Somethings are too big that we can't rap our heads around. but there are the fundamental foundations of our faith that are explained in the Bible. So, using the word "faith" is not an excuse for not knowing what you believe, and why you believe.

“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” - 2 Timothy 2:15

God's been convicting me with the lack of concern for things of purpose and true value. That is why I felt I should start this blog. I will be writing these post to and for God, with the purpose of encouraging you and converting souls. This blog is also to keep me focused. We must live our lives with purpose.
